NATIONAL SCHOOLS’ REGATTA
Congratulations on the unbelievable efforts of the Perkins rowers at the National Schools’ Regatta. Our Club won its biggest ever medal haul at this event, with 5 medals. Prior to 2024, we had won three Championship (the top-tier Under 18 events) medals in our history. By Sunday night, our rowers had won three more.
National Schools’ Regatta is the largest school regatta in the world, with over 5000 children aged 13-18 competing, and we were represented by 69 of our students. 62 of these students progressed to an A or B Final, finishing with a top-12 national ranking. Given that each separate event featured between 25-45 crews from all around the UK, this is incredible.
Well done to our rowers, and thank you to our supporters on the bank and coaching team on the towpath – without us all working together as we do, this simply could not have happened!
