SWPS organised the annual Higher Education fair earlier this month, where students from Years 11 – 13 at Salesian, SJB, Woking High, and SWPS received advice and guidance from a huge range of university representatives. The purpose of the fair was to help students explore the range of Higher Education institutions to help them decide which courses to apply for. Representatives from more than 40 universities in the UK and overseas were present, and students were urged to ask various questions while visiting the university stands. Students investigated the locations of the institutions, the availability and duration of accommodation, library facilities, ICT resources with wifi, language opportunities, sports facilities, cultural activities, and student support services. Students were advised to have meaningful conversations with the university representatives to gain valuable insights to help them make informed decisions.

The Higher Education Fair featured an array of master classes. Our visiting universities conducted expert presentations, covering a range of topics. The presentations provided valuable information to help the students on their university journey. The master classes covered various subjects, including applying to Russell Group universities, personal statements and applications, student finance and budgeting and university life.

The fair assisted students in selecting the right Higher Education institution and making informed choices about their future pathways. For further assistance or inquiries about the Higher Education fair, please contact futures@swps.org.uk.
