Welcome to Sixth Form

We prepare our students for all aspects of life beyond school – and their educational journey continues in our Sixth Form, where we empower them to become confident and successful young adults. 

Our Sixth Form Centre offers education to the highest standard, as well as welcoming spaces for students to study or relax. 

Alongside the pursuit of outstanding academic results, we provide many leadership opportunities to help students develop their skills and talents outside the classroom, and explore a wide range of potential career opportunities.

2023 A Level exam results

Our students' most recent A Level results stem from a winning formula; they are testament to students' determination and resilience, coupled with our excellent teaching resources.

          84% of grades achieved were A* - B grades  

          51% of grades achieved were A* / A grades  

          97% of grades achieved were A*- C grades  

There have been notable achievements in certain subjects. 100% of grades were A*-B in Art & Design, Business, Computer Science, German, Latin, Physics and PE.

SWPS Sixth FORM REGISTRATION

A move to Sixth Form represents a large jump in workload and greater challenges. Some students may need a little help in managing this, so we offer a wealth of support to help with the transition:

  • Year 12 preparatory work booklet

  • One-to-one tutoring in small tutor groups (of 10-12)

  • Academic mentoring in addition to form tutors

  • A focused Life Skills course on developing an A level mindset

  • Individual action plans for students who require extra support in assessments, public exams or are generally finding things more challenging

  • A range of drop-in clinics and structured revision plans

  • A silent study room available in the Sixth Form Centre
