The Duke of Edinburgh's Award

The Duke of Edinburgh's Award is extremely popular, with almost all Year 9 taking Bronze. Many progress through Silver and on to Gold in the Lower Sixth. The Award provides a framework of balanced, non-competitive activities within and outside the School community leading to an award highly regarded by universities and employers.

We are very fortunate to have an army of over 60 adult volunteers, over half of whom are Surrey approved supervisors and assessors, and some are qualified Mountain Leaders, who enable us to provide such an excellent programme. We are now recognised as a licensing authority in our own right, having been invested by the Duke of Edinburgh himself at St James's Palace.
