COMMUNITY PARTNERSHIPS
Making connections with our community, local and beyond, is a key part of school life. Our education is enriched with a wide range of connections to organisations and universities, giving a Sir William Perkins’s student a chance to meet experts and learn with others. We continue to form new partnerships, such as our growing relationship with Chertsey Cricket Club, and enjoy connecting with schools in our neighbourhood such as at our 300th anniversary concert in 2025.
Our staff enjoy sharing their expertise with colleagues and learning from others in settings different to our own; in 2025 we have our first Teaching and Learning Summit and are excited to welcome staff from other schools to explore adaptive teaching.
Making a difference to our world through action is an important part of our 2024-2030 strategy; we are building closer connections with Runnymede so we can give generously our time to improve the local green spaces that we continue to enjoy for events such as our Year 7 Picnic. Our MAD day (Make a Difference Day) sees a large number of our students volunteering at a range of local charities and initiatives, and we are seeking to expand such volunteering opportunities to all students. 2025 has been a busy year for volunteering, with our community completing over 1725 hours.
