In the dynamic world of education, responsive teaching and effective classroom engagement are key factors to foster a vibrant and interactive learning environment. At SWPS, during the Spring Term Inset day, renowned educator Mr Craig Barton brought his unique insights into these aspects, sharing valuable strategies to empower our teaching staff.

Mr Barton embraced the art of cold calling as a powerful tool to enhance student participation. Within the latest SWPS staff Inset day, he delved deep into the art of engaging students through well-crafted questions, ensuring an inclusive learning experience for all. From building confidence to promoting critical thinking, he explored the multitude of benefits that responsive teaching offers in today’s digital age.  The workshop was informative, engaging, and packed with practical tips that our SWPS teaching staff could implement straight away.  As an expert in his field, with over 20 years of teaching, 10 years of visiting schools all around the world, and six years of interviewing the world’s leading experts. He was able to leverage his extensive experience and research and offered a fresh perspective on how to create a classroom environment that supports student growth and success.
