We said goodbye to our wonderful Year 13s before half term. During their last week as Sixth Form students they could be seen donning a variety of costumes around the school, ranging from who they had aspired to be when they were younger to a character with the same initials.

On the last day before half term the Year 13s were given an emotional send off. The day started with a Leavers’ Assembly, with a charismatic talk from Mr Muller containing stories about his school life memories. Head of Year Ms White spoke followed by speeches from each Year 13 tutor.

Emotions were running high especially when the Year 13s were treated to a surprise musical performance by some of Year 12 playing ABBA ‘Our Last Summer’ whilst watching a movie looking back at Year 13s’ time since joining SWPS in Year 7.  The celebrations continued in the Drama studios for the Leavers’ Picnic and delicious cake – which had been made by our amazing catering team – was enjoyed by all.

Thank you all for being an instrumental part of our school: your warmth and enthusiasm have been inspirational. We wish you all the very best of luck with your exams and the excitement of the next chapter in your lives. You will always be a part of our SWPS community as Perkonians.
