The Year 8 students from SWPS attended the Woman in IT 2023 programme at Cisco, an initiative to empower more young women to pursue careers in the technology and engineering industries.
The programme is helping to create a more diverse, inclusive and equitable technology workforce by introducing young women to a range of career paths in the industry and supporting them as they explore the possibilities. The visit to Cisco provided a unique experience for the Year 8 students especially as they had the chance to gain a greater understanding of the tech industry and the opportunities available to them in this sector. We look forward to seeing the impact these girls will have on the tech industry in the years to come.
