As the term drew to a close SWPS concluded the Spring term with its Wellbeing Week. This time, in addition to the planned trips and activities, there was a special emphasis on our core SWPS value of Generosity.

Our House and Charity Prefects organised various events throughout the week, beginning with a bake sale during Monday first break, and students were encouraged to ‘Bring a tin’ throughout the week, with all donations going to the Runnymede Food Bank. The money raised was split between the four House charities, which were chosen by our students: RSPCA Millbrook Centre for LONSDALE, Cancer Research for MONTAGU, Runnymede Food Bank for PANKHURST, and Young Minds for QUANT.

The rest of week did not disappoint. Musical entertainment came from Atrium Beatz, and an Inter House Netball competition for Year 10. The ever-popular Non-Uniform Day also featured, again raising money for the House charities. The Year 7 Mission to Mars grand final took place, with 7Q emerging as the winners. A thrilling Sixth Form Vs Teacher Bench ball match took centre stage mid-week, attracting donations to watch the action in the Sports Hall.

Meanwhile, Year 7 students had a fun-filled Team Building trip to Walton Firs, and in a more serious but important aspect to Wellbeing Week, Senior School students attended a Drugs talk by Surrey Police. The term concluded with the highly anticipated annual whole school Easter Egg Hunt, and the whole school assembly, where we honoured and celebrated members of our community.
