On an unseasonably warm Autumn day, we were delighted to welcome some of our treasured Perkonians back to SWPS from the Classes of 1963, 1964, 1974, 1980, 1987, 2012, 2013, 2017, 2020 and 2023 at the annual Afternoon Tea get together.
Hosted in the newly decorated Atrium, flooded with beautiful afternoon sunshine, Perkionians re-acquainted themselves, reminiscing and catching up with old school friends.
SWPS student Ambassadors from Years 8, 9 and 10 chatted with our special guests over a sumptuous feast of afternoon tea delights before conducting tours of the school. Provided with an opportunity to see what has changed over the years, Perkonians furnished wide-eyed student Ambassadors with an understanding of how school life was at SWPS in years past. Photographs, school magazines and year books retrieved from the archives brought the lively discussions to life.
