Badminton

Congratulations to our U14A who won the KS3 District Badminton

Netball

The U12 entered the Surrey tournament where there were some great matches with wins against Harrodian and Tiffin.

Our U13 A team won silver medals at the Tormead tournament, losing in the dying seconds to a penalty shot to Tormead. The U12s also played well and were third in their very tough group.

Our U13 A netball team qualified for the county finals, in the lead up to the final they won against Streatham & Clapham High School, Surbiton and Graveney and drawing 9-9 with Epsom to top their group.  The final was held at Charterhouse, with some fantastic performances 11-8 victory against JAGS, a 9-6 victory v Wallington. It was a close semi-final against Wimbledon High but sadly lost this time. We are so proud of every player for their effort, skill and commitment. Well done to Sanna G, Holly-Anne B, Jorja A, Kate N, Lily W, Poppy S (Captain), Amber S, Bethany B and Anna-Sophia E

Congratulations to our U14 netball squad, who lost just one of their seven matches at District Finals and finished second. A real team performance and lots to be proud of, well done.

U15A reached the Surrey County finals. The squad played some excellent netball but unfortunately were unable to overcome very strong opposition. There were some notable second halves against St Catherine’s, Gordon’s and Wimbledon High which were highlights of the tournament. This is a great achievement and is the first time that SWPS has been represented at county finals in several years. Well done to Freya H (Captain), Emily N, Tilly C, Jasmine S, Saoirse F, Kate L, Charlie B, Sophie D and Chloe T.

Our U15A Netball squad are District Champions! It was a fitting finish to a wonderful season for the U15A team.

The U18 netball team won the St Teresa’s invitational tournament, while our U15 netball came second in the U16 St Teresa’s invitational tournament. The U18 A&B won both their matches against Claremont Fan Court School and Prior’s Field.

Congratulations to the following SWPS netball players who have been selected as follows:

Freya G (Year 7) has been selected for County U12 Netball

Jasmine S (Year 10) has been selected for West Berkshire Netball

Sophie D (Year 10) has been selected for Mavericks Development Pathway

Hockey

A fantastic day of hockey for the U13s at the Surrey County tournament – winners of their pool and semi-final v St John’s, then a final against Reigate Grammar – finishing with silver medals.

Congratulations to the Under 13 hockey teams who were victorious in their final games of the season at St Theresa’s. The A team won 2-0 and the B team 4-2

Congratulations to the U14 hockey team for winning the St Teresa’s School invitational tournament. The squad didn’t concede a goal all day and won the final on penalty shuffles. It was a fantastic performance and well done to the team.

Well done to Taylor G who has been selected as goalkeeper for U15 County hockey.

Swimming

This term saw some of the Sir William Perkins’s club swimmers compete in the Surrey Schools Individual Gala competition at the Guildford Spectrum. The team was captained by Eleanor W and SWPS won two of our age groups.

A swimming gala at St Mary’s, Ascot saw some excellent swimming from our SWPS students across all four age groups (U12, U13, U14, O14), with SWPS winning 3 out of 4 age groups and coming 2nd by only 4 points in the overall standings.  Well done to all the SWPS swimmers.

SWPS is pleased to announce that Eleanor & Genevieve W have been training with the Swim England Phase 2 National Training squad
