Year 11 students visited the Hare Krishna temple in Watford, arranged to enhance students’ understanding of Hinduism as part of their GCSE Religious Studies course. The Bhaktivedanta Manor is set in extensive grounds in Watford and was donated to the International Society of Hare Krishna Consciousness by George Harrison in 1967. Our Year 11 students toured the grounds, fed the cows in the Sanctuary and visited the shrine where they were able to watch the arti ceremony.  Our GCSE Religious Studies students gained an understanding of the divergent Hindu traditions, and were given ample opportunities to explore a unique expression of this religion.
