Our Year 12 and 13 A Level Design & Technology students (Product Design and Fashion & Textiles) attended this year’s Material Matters design fair at the Bargehouse, Oxo Tower Wharf on London’s Southbank. The event showcased the pivotal role of materials in shaping society, featuring industry-leading designers, makers, and manufacturers.
Through engaging exhibits, cutting-edge products, and thought-provoking talks, our students explored the latest trends in material design and gained valuable insights into real-world applications. This immersive experience emphasised the importance of the circular economy and material intelligence, broadening their understanding of materials in the design process.
The fair was an inspiring and enriching opportunity, fuelling creativity and innovation as our students continue their Design Technology A Level journey.
