Robotic Eye Surgery at SWPS
Our Year 7 Electrical Engineering group, Zoe, Evie and Chloe managed to operate on a sheep eye remotely using a robotic arm.
By using a Go Pro camera with inbuilt wifi it was also possible to carry out the operation from a different lab in much the same way as surgeons can operate on patients thousands of miles apart remotely, using robotic arms.
