FIRST PLACE - Elmbridge Literary Competition 2021

Congratulations to Nina Truesdale (Year 8), who won first place for her short story ‘The Colours of Music’  in the Elmbridge Literary Competition 2021.

The standard of the competition is exceptionally high and now attracts national and international entries, so Nina’s success is to be commended. Nina’s wonderful story, a whodunnit with a twist, can be read below.

The Competition runs in partnership between the R C Sherriff Trust and Elmbridge Borough Council and with publishers Sampson Low. As part of Nina’s prize, her story will be published as a chapbook. (Small and affordable forms of literature, Chapbooks historically were sold on the streets, and covered a range of subjects from fairy tales and ghost stories to news of politics, crime or disaster.)

Look out for this budding author in the future!
