This term students have not only been building on their DofE expedition skills but they have also been working on their chosen activities for the volunteering, physical and skills sections. It has been fabulous to see their photos on edofe engaging in a wide range of activities. From helping at local community food banks to achieving sports and music success or building important workplace skills via IBM Skillsbuild the list of activities is really impressive. We are now starting to read some wonderful assessor reports as they start to complete their timescales for these sections.
Our new volunteers have been busy too and we thank them for all the fun and the time they have given us to support our students. This term they have completed a training day, a training weekend camping in the Surrey Hills and some have recently qualified in minibus driving and Remote Emergency First Aid.
Other events this term have included two Training Walks for our Bronze and Silver students while our Gold students have held meetings to plan their qualifier expeditions.
We are now ready and looking forward to the fast approaching expedition season.
