Designed for children in year 6, the SWPS Taster morning is designed to give your child a good flavour of life at SWPS, meet our teachers and experience our learning environment. At the same time they will get to know each other so that when they return for our Assessments on 15 November the spaces and faces will be familiar to them. These interactive half-day events include four fun-filled classes, giving those attending first-hand experience of life at SWPS with our engaging and inspiring teaching team.
SWPS Year 6 Taster Days
- Try all things scientific in a sensational STEM class.
- Get experimental in a crafty creative class.
- Try your hand at something new in a language class.
- Get hooked on human-kind in a humanities class.
- There is an optional lunchtime hockey workshop lasting one hour Details of how to sign up to this additional session will be included in your confirmation email.

SWPS Year 6 Taster Days
Our Year 6 Taster Day sessions take place one Saturday 4 October 2025. Previous events have proved very popular and as such, so as to provide the very best experience for our visiting children, places are limited and will be allocated on a first come-first served basis. Early booking is advised to avoid disappointment.
