Scholarships are awarded up to the value of 50% of academic tuition fees for Academic Scholarships, and up to 25% for Arts Scholarships (Art, Drama & Music). All awards are at the Governors’ discretion and may be reviewed at any time in the light of a scholar’s performance in the school.
Academic, Art, Drama and Music Scholarships are awarded following success in the Entrance Examination, in recognition of achievement and potential. There is no need to apply for academic scholarships – top performing candidates will be invited for a scholarship interview.
Information regarding Art, Drama and Music Scholarship auditions (usually held at the end of January) is included in every candidate’s information pack sent out prior to the entrance examination.
Information regarding the Sixth Form Academic, Art, Drama, Music and Sports Scholarship examinations/trials in November is available at the Sixth Form Information Evening in September. Internal applicants will receive details automatically in Year 11; external applicants should contact the Admissions Department. The Academic Scholarship examination and interviews for Art, Drama, Music and Sport Scholarships take place in the November of Year 11 and application forms for these are available from the Admissions Department.
