About us

Sir William Perkins’s School is an independent day school for girls aged 11-18 situated on 13 acres of greenbelt land in Chertsey, Surrey.

Our vision is to build confidence, integrity and excellence in a caring, innovative and happy community so that each pupil leaves having been given the best possible chance of achieving their full potential, taking with them sound values, a breadth of skills and knowledge, and ready to take on the world!

Joining SWPS

"I love being at SWPS! All of the events before I started meant I'd already made friends before my first day! The teachers are all really nice and supportive and I'm enjoying lots of new clubs on offer to us!"

Joining Sixth Form

"Sixth form at SWPS offers us freedom and the ability to concentrate on subjects we're passionate about. The work is challenging but more than manageable with our free study periods and even more enjoyable to be able to sit down with friends and work through problems together."

Curriculum

We enjoy a broad and balanced curriculum that encourages students' sense of curiosity and their drive to seek information themselves to compliment their studies and academic interests

Co-Curricular

We believe that education is about more than just grades and exam results, we strive to produce well-rounded students equipped with a plethora of skills that enable them to leave their mark on their community and the wider world around them.

Of course we all want happy students! We strive to support all students' mental, physical and emotional wellbeing while in our care, through the use of a strong pastoral structure, counselling resources, Wellbeing Room and a 'Wellbeing Week' at least once a term!
